Hamedezhu! I call to you! Look to your scattered ones across this land! Like a flock of geese scattered by a rifle shot, and now we call out to each other... We call out, cautiously but hopefully, shellshocked but determined... Hamedezhu! I call to you! we pray for wisdom from the east! we pray guidance from the south! we pray healing from the west! we pray strength from the north! Hamedezhu! now that we stand in this sacred circle we look earthward, and pray to You for health! we look skyward and pray for Your protection! and now that we are in this center, this most sacred place we open up to You: (the place where you have chosen to meet us) our hearts! laid bare before You! Hamedezhu! Expose us! Look deep within us! Crumble our arrogance, our selfishness! Chase away everything that keeps us in shadow, Everything that dulls your voice and your vissions! Shatter the euro-god images we've been polluted with! Smash every false image, Clear "this circle" of lies, all lies foreign or domestic! Hamendezhu! I call to you for my people! Help us towards self examination, to recognize our own personal failings and weaknesses, Clean from us all bitterness and divisiveness. keep disruptive spirits far away (human or other)! "DEGH SHU REI NOH, SIT TAH WAH!" (evil spirits go away!) No true brother or sister is the enemy! Hamendezhu! We need your help! We are weak and given to many distractions! Come to us! Let the Sweats begin in our own hearts, our own homes, purifying sweats that make the tears flow, humbling us, reducing us to trembing servants, with only love for one another!! My heart is poured out written by Yuse'atah |
| He is an Artist and Poet. Below is a prayer he wrote for our people. It is one of my favorites. |
