There is a 17-bed hospital in Kotzebue.  It is owned and operated by the Inupiat people of this region under the Maniilaq Association.

The boat timelessly frozen in the waves of the Lagoon

.......waiting for the equinox when the tilt of the earth turns towards the sun.

.......waiting for the warm yellow ball to return and melt the snowy blanket. 

.......waiting to be free again. 






The gray days are comforting to my soul.
Soothing to my eyes and
peaceful to my ears.
